PICNICS
Soon after school starts we will have an All School Pot Luck Picnic; please check your calendar for the exact date. This is a great chance to meet new families and say hello to old friends. You will also notice that we hold an annual All School End of School Pot Luck Picnic the Thursday before graduation. Everyone - students, parents, staff, alumni, meeting members, school committee and friends are invited to participate in these Friends School traditions. In addition, students and staff share a Thanksgiving Feast the Tuesday before Fall break begins.

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL
The Halloween Carnival started as a simple combination "fun" raiser and fundraiser organized and sponsored by the Upper School. It has grown into a school-wide event featuring games, a haunted walk, a haunted house and entertainment for all ages.

BOOK FAIRS & SALES
Two book fairs are held during the school year. The Holiday Book and Craft Fair is traditionally a big event that features books, crafts and baked goods during the holiday season. In addition, a used book fair is held on the breezeway every spring.

OPEN HOUSE & SPECIAL EVENTS
While the primary focus of our four annual open houses is admissions, they have become community events and a way for students, staff and parents to share our school with the wider community. This past summer our July Open House coincided with a "Fur and Feathered Friends Festival" that featured SPCA events and benefits along with other pet related activities. October's Open House will also include a community blood drive and January's Open House emphasizes bringing a friend to school. Students act as tour guides and our families supply baked goods for our guests. Many hands make light (and fun) work!
PERFORMING ARTS
Two regularly scheduled music and dance events are held yearly - our Holiday Concert in December and our Spring Arts Festival in April. Students of all ages perform for families, friends, grandparents and their peers. In addition to these two events, Grandparents day in October never fails to delight with a music show and performing arts classes provide additional opportunities to enjoy the work of our very talented students throughout the year.
