On August 19th WTKR Channel 3 published an article about the upcoming Snapchat travel project that they participated in. Here is the story!
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Three Virginia BeachFriends School students and locally-owned Adios Adventure teamed up with Snapchat for a travel project.
The project is called “Journey to Machu Picchu” and it will be featured by Snapchat on August 24.
If you have the app you probably already know what ‘live stories’ are.
If you don’t, stories are loaded by people around the world as a way to share their experiences with others.
For this story, the students from Friends School and others from the group provided an inside look at what Adios Adventures Travel’s Inca Trails trips look like.
It will showcase things like hikers getting ready to embark on the trail and the day-to-day hardships of climbing.
The trail is difficult and high-altitude.
Before the hike the group helped to build livestock shelters in the village of Callipata.
They also visited the village school and delivered backpacks, soccer balls, dental supplies, first aid supplies, and medications.
To see the story on August 24 you will need the Snapchat app.
The story will then appear for 24 hours only on the stories page.
