Welcome to Virginia Beach Friends School. The 2009-2010 school year marks our 54^th year of educating students in the Quaker tradition – valuing each individual for their unique gifts and talents as there is "that of God" in each of us.

At Virginia Beach Friends School, the Quaker values of equality, integrity, simplicity, peace and stewardship are integrated in the life and culture of the school community. Built on the notion that respectful relationships are the cornerstone of educational goodness, we provide a vigorous and vibrant educational program where all students can thrive - nurturing their curiosity and creativity in a caring, yet challenging environment.

While much has changed in our world since the school’s founding in 1955, our core educational values remain the same – that all students are valued; that equality, respect and responsibility are at the center of what occurs in each classroom; and that personal character along with academic competency are equally valued educational outcomes.
